Job Description & Responsibilities

As a Quantity Surveyor in the Structural division, you will support the commercial and cost management activities of structural projects within the marine and offshore sectors.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assist in preparing cost estimates for structural works in marine, offshore, and fabrication projects, including materials, labour, and equipment.

• Support the preparation and monitoring of project budgets to ensure cost control and alignment with project scope.

• Monitor project progress and assist in preparing cost analysis and financial reports.

• Review supplier quotations, contracts, and technical specifications related to structural works.

• Assist in preparing tender submissions and cost proposals for marine and offshore structural projects.

• Support the tracking of project variations, contract changes, and additional costs.

• Conduct site visits and assist in verifying work completed for accurate invoicing and cost assessments.

• Ensure structural works comply with safety regulations and relevant industry standards.

• Maintain documentation related to cost reports, claims, contract variations, and project records.

Requirements

• ITE certificate or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.

• At least 1 year of relevant experience in quantity surveying, construction, fabrication, marine, or offshore projects.

• Basic understanding of structural materials and fabrication processes used in marine or offshore construction is an advantage.

• Familiarity with cost estimation, tender preparation, and contract documentation.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word).

• Knowledge of quantity surveying software such as CostX or Bluebeam is an advantage.

• Good analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
