Job Description

Project Officer (1-Year Contract)
💰 Salary: $3,000 – $4,000 per month
📅 Contract Period: June 2026 – May 2027 (Option to extend)
📍 Work Arrangement: Office-based with occasional weekend work

Working Hours

Monday – Friday: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)
Rest Days: Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays

The Project Officer may be required to work one weekend per month to support programme activities. Off-in-lieu will be provided.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
  • Strong interest in youth development and community engagement initiatives.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisation and coordination skills.
  • Able to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable liaising with multiple stakeholders including community partners and organisations.
  • Willing to work occasional evenings or weekends when required.

Experience

  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Candidates with 1–2 years of experience in project coordination, community engagement, or event management will have an advantage.

Role Overview

The Project Officer supports the administration and operations of the Foundation, overseeing the planning, coordination and execution of programmes, activities and events. The role also manages administrative and financial processes while working closely with Constituency Offices, partners and stakeholders to ensure initiatives are implemented smoothly and aligned with the Foundation’s objectives.

Key Responsibilities

a) Foundation & Programme Management

  • Plan, coordinate and execute programmes, activities and events.
  • Develop and manage project timelines to ensure initiatives are implemented effectively.
  • Monitor programme progress and follow up on action items.
  • Ensure tasks and deliverables are completed according to schedule.

b) Operations & Administration

  • Manage day-to-day administrative operations of the Foundation.
  • Support procurement processes, including preparation of documentation and obtaining approvals.
  • Process purchase requests and coordinate with vendors.
  • Maintain proper filing systems, records and databases.

c) Financial & Accounts Support

  • Support financial matters including budget monitoring and expenditure tracking.
  • Liaise with relevant parties on payments, claims and financial administration.
  • Ensure timely submission of invoices, claims and supporting documents.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports for management and committee review.

d) Reporting & Secretariat Support

  • Provide secretariat support for meetings and committee engagements.
  • Prepare and circulate meeting agendas, presentation materials and reports.
  • Record minutes of meetings and follow up on action items.

e) General

Perform other duties assigned to support the Foundation’s programmes and objectives.
