The Project/ Operations Manager will see to the planning, coordination, and execution of projects related to the development and operational setup of a new school, working closely with the school leaders, consultants, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure the school is established smoothly, efficiently, and in accordance with timelines and organisational objectives.

Your Role as a Project/Operations Manager: 

• Coordinate and manage the school redevelopment project, serving as the key liaison with consultants, contractors, and the Ministry of Education throughout the construction and fit-out phases.

• Oversee project timelines, operational readiness, procurement, and compliance requirements to support the successful completion of the new school campus.

• Plan and coordinate the relocation from the current holding site to the new school premises, including logistics, stakeholder communication, asset movement, and operational transition.

• Support the setup and commissioning of the new school facilities, systems, and operational processes to ensure school readiness for staff and students.

• Undertake and cover the duties of the Operations Manager in periods of absence of School Operations Manager, including management of school operations, facilities, safety, vendors, and administrative support services

• Work closely with school leaders and relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth project implementation and continuity of school operations during the transition period.

Requirements:

• A polytechnic diploma in Building, Estate, Property Management, or related field.

• Possesses at least 5 to 8 years of relevant project management experience, specialising in Estate Management, infrastructure, facilities, or large-scale operational setup projects.

• Fire Safety Manager Course Certificate will be advantageous.

• Strong organisational, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work within tight timelines.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and project management tools.

• Experience working with schools or educational institutions will be an advantage.

• Good team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
