  • Position Title: Project Manager/Director (Construction/Healthcare)
  • Working Location: South – Queenstown
  • Working Hours: 5.5 days / Mon-Fri: 8am-5pm, Sat: 8am-12pm
  • Salary Package: Competitive and commensurate with relevant experience
  • Duration: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the end-to-end delivery of hospital construction projects, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Manage project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and hospital stakeholders to drive project milestones and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Conduct risk assessments, implement mitigation strategies, and ensure strict adherence to safety, quality, and statutory requirements throughout project phases.
  • Review and approve architectural and construction plans, specifications, and procurement to ensure alignment with hospital needs and regulatory guidelines.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of project documentation, progress reports, and handover packages.
  • Lead project meetings, manage communication channels, and provide updates to senior management and clients.
  • Mentor and manage project teams, fostering a collaborative environment focused on excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure smooth project commissioning, closeout, and transition to facility operations, addressing any defects or outstanding issues promptly.
  • Undertake any additional responsibilities as assigned by the management team.

  • Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
  • Min. 10 years of local project management experience
  • Preferably have experience in healthcare sector, with a strong background in hospital construction projects
  • Proven leadership in managing large-scale, complex construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong knowledge of local construction codes, healthcare regulations, and safety practices
