Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager in the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects.
- Coordinate daily site activities to ensure work progresses according to the project schedule.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Prepare work schedules, method statements, and project progress reports.
- Monitor project progress and recommend corrective actions to address delays or issues.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and relevant authorities.
- Attend site meetings, technical discussions, and progress meetings.
- Ensure that all work complies with approved drawings, specifications, statutory regulations, and client requirements.
- Monitor quality control and ensure compliance with the company's Quality Management System (QMS).
- Ensure all site activities comply with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and company safety policies.
- Coordinate material procurement and delivery to support construction activities.
- Verify subcontractors' work progress and certify completed works for payment.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including inspection records, RFIs, material submissions, shop drawings, and as-built drawings.
- Support project handover activities, testing, commissioning, and defect rectification.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Building Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
- Knowledge of Singapore construction practices, codes, and statutory requirements.
- Familiarity with BCA, MOM, and Workplace Safety & Health regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and project scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Project or Primavera) is an advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Able to work independently and under pressure.
- Willing to travel between project sites when required.
