TRANS Family Servicesis a non-profit organization providing social services since 1979. We have 6 centres across Singapore providing services supporting families in need. TRANS FOCUS Active Ageing Centre, located at Bukit Timah is a centre that promotes elder wellness and active ageing.

About The Role

The role of the ProgrammeAssociate of TRANS FOCUS Active Ageing Centre will assist in the dailyoperations of the centre. This incumbent will help to develop and implement a host of programmes promoting active ageing in the community. He/she is expected to actively outreach and engage seniors who may be socially isolated in the community. The incumbent assists in managing and developing senior volunteers to promote active volunteerism. In addition, he or she has to collaborate andnetwork with community partners to galvanise resources.

Candidate Requirements

Technical Competencies:

• ‘A’ Levels or Polytechnic Diploma
• 0-3 years relevant working experience

Core competencies:

Ability to engage seniors and build rapport, plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate programmes, manage and develop senior volunteers, network with various community partners

Preferred achievements / characteristics:

• Passion in working with seniors
• Displays integrity, diligence, humility
• Able to communicate in English and Mandarin
• Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills
• Good team player
• Adapts well to changes
