About the Role
This role is responsible for fresh food category procurement (including meat, eggs, seafood, vegetables, fruits, condiments, frozen products) and gross margin management, ensuring a stable supply of high-quality products while effectively controlling costs.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier Coordination & Administration
Support supplier sourcing, evaluation, and onboarding processes
Maintain supplier master data, contracts, pricing, and documentation
Coordinate daily communication with suppliers on pricing, availability, and delivery matters
Purchase Order & Procurement Operations
Prepare and issue purchase orders (POs) based on approved procurement plans
Coordinate morning sourcing activities and follow up on order confirmations
Track delivery schedules and ensure timely receipt of goods
Verify delivery quantities and quality, and flag discrepancies for follow-up
Inventory & Shelf-Life Monitoring
Monitor inventory levels and product shelf life
Assist in managing near-expiry stock to minimize losses
Support inventory planning to improve stock turnover and cost efficiency
Product & Data Management
Assist in product setup, listing, and maintenance in internal systems
Update product descriptions, pricing, and status (onboarding / offboarding)
Support promotional submissions and basic reporting requirements
Cost & Performance Support
Assist in tracking procurement costs and gross margin performance
Support cost comparison across suppliers and basic price benchmarking
Prepare simple reports on purchasing, inventory, and supplier performance
New Product Support
Assist in sourcing and price comparison for new products
Collect product information and samples for internal review
Support product setup and documentation for new item launches
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or related fields
2–3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations (fresh food / FMCG experience is a plus)
Familiarity with basic procurement processes, purchase orders, and inventory management
Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and internal systems
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced operational environment
