Job Description
The Pantry Tea Lady ensures a clean, well-stocked pantry and delivers friendly, timely beverage service to employees and visitors. This role supports day-to-day office hospitality, basic pantry equipment care, and ad‑hoc admin assistance to keep operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Beverage and Hospitality
- Prepare and serve tea, coffee, and light refreshments to staff, management, and guests during office hours and meetings.
- Set up, refresh, and clear meeting room beverage stations before and after sessions.
- Support small in-office events (catering set-up, beverage stations, simple plating).
- Pantry Operations
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of pantry, sinks, counters, cupboards, fridges, microwaves, and coffee machines throughout the day.
- Wash, dry, and store cups, glasses, and basic utensils; manage dishwasher cycles where applicable.
- Monitor and replenish pantry supplies (tea, coffee, milk, sugar, snacks, paper goods) and water dispensers.
- Track inventory levels; place orders or raise purchase requests within budget and lead times.
- Equipment Care
- Perform daily/weekly cleaning routines for coffee machines and other pantry appliances; escalate faults promptly.
- Coordinate servicing with vendors as instructed by Office/Facilities Manager.
- Waste and Hygiene
- Empty pantry bins and manage recycling according to office guidelines; ensure proper food safety and hygiene practices.
- Wipe and sanitize high-touch surfaces regularly.
- Administrative and Ad‑hoc Support
- Receive and store pantry deliveries; check quantities and expiry dates.
- Liaise with reception/office admin for meeting schedules and catering needs.
- Assist with simple office errands and tasks as assigned (e.g., preparing water for VIP meetings).
Requirements
- Experience in pantry, hospitality, or office support roles preferred; training can be provided for suitable candidates.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene; familiarity with coffee/tea preparation and simple machine care.
- Good interpersonal skills; polite, service-oriented, and discreet.
- Organized, reliable, and able to manage time and priorities during peak periods.
- Basic housekeeping of areas in charged is required.
- Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift light items (up to ~10 kg) safely.
