We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead logistics operations and drive business growth within the Singapore market. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, deep industry knowledge across sea and air freight, and the ability to manage end-to-end operations while building strong client and partner relationships across Southeast Asia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee end-to-end logistics operations, including import and export sea and air freight shipments.
• Liaise directly with clients and shippers, building strong relationships throughout the shipment process.
• Handle end-to-end sea bookings, including documentation handling and creation.
• Manage agent and partner communications, order handling, and internal coordination across offices.
• Ensure accurate CargoWise file creation, system updates, and adherence to operational processes.
• Negotiate and secure favorable buying rates from suppliers and service providers.
• Monitor shipment progress, ensure compliance with procedures, and resolve operational issues proactively.
• Generate new profitable business opportunities and maintain existing client relationships.
• Oversee staffing, team performance, and regional operational activities.
• Take full ownership and accountability for operational performance and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in logistics, with strong exposure to imports, exports, warehousing, customs, and general freight operations.
• Strong knowledge of sea and air freight (import/export and cross-trade shipments).
• Southeast Asia market knowledge and regional exposure.
• Proven leadership experience with a strong track record of managing teams and operations.
• Experience negotiating and securing favorable buying rates with suppliers and service providers.
• Strong client engagement and relationship management skills.
• Established network with shipping lines, airlines, and trucking providers is advantageous.
• Experience using CargoWise is a strong advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general internet research skills.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to work under pressure.
