The Operations / Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing daily operations and logistics activities to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and timely movement of goods and services. This role ensures smooth coordination across supply chain functions, inventory management, transportation, and internal teams while maintaining high service and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily operational activities to meet business objectives

• Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and workflows to improve efficiency

• Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities for process improvement

• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards
  

Logistics & Supply Chain

• Manage end-to-end logistics operations including inbound, outbound, and distribution activities

• Coordinate with suppliers, transporters, warehouses, and third-party logistics providers

• Optimize transportation routes, delivery schedules, and freight costs

• Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
  

Inventory & Warehouse Management

• Oversee inventory control, stock accuracy, and replenishment planning

• Monitor inventory levels to minimize shortages, overstocking, and obsolescence

• Ensure proper storage, handling, and movement of goods within warehouses
  

Team Leadership & Coordination

• Lead, supervise, and develop operations and logistics staff

• Assign duties, set performance targets, and conduct performance evaluations

• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
  

Reporting & Analysis

• Track KPIs such as delivery performance, inventory turnover, costs, and productivity

• Prepare operational reports for management review

• Use data and analysis to support decision-making and process enhancements
  

Cost & Risk Management

• Control operational and logistics costs within approved budgets

• Identify operational risks and implement mitigation plans

• Manage issues related to delays, damages, or service failures
  

Requirements / Qualifications (Optional Section)

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field

• X years of experience in operations and/or logistics management

• Strong knowledge of supply chain, inventory control, and transportation processes

• Proven leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills

• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office
