Our client is a leading contract manufacturer/EMS solutions provider. With manufacturing facilities in both Singapore and Malaysia, this company is now looking for a Operations Director to join their dynamic team during an exciting time in their development.

about the job

• Take full accountability for site profit and loss. Drive a high-performance culture by aggressively monitoring and improving OEE, scrap reduction, cost-per-unit, and yield
• Lead, manage, and optimize plant operations to ensure "best-in-class" financial results and workforce productivity
• Serve as the strategic lead and primary escalation point for global medical customers. Lead customer review meetings and ensure the site consistently exceeds expectations and audit requirements
• Drive engineering-led enhancements across manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment to maximize capacity utilization
• Oversee quality systems to ensure 100% compliance with medical specifications, ISO standards, and customer-specific audits
• Set the vision for the site, ensuring all production targets (volume, quality, and schedule adherence) are met with precision

job requirement

• Msc/Degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 15 years of relevant working experience in contract manufacturing (High Mix Low Volume) environment
• Possess a mastery of molding processes, tooling, and the technical nuances of engineered plastic products
• Demonstrated history of taking a manufacturing site/unit and successfully driving it from underperformance to profitability
• Extensive experience managing medical industry customers, understanding their unique quality/regulatory pain points, and successfully leading customer audits
