We are partnered with an established organisation to look for an OpenShift Engineer to build and operate critical container platforms. You will support multiple OpenShift clusters across on-prem and AWS environments and play an active role in cloud migration. You will work in a lean team that expects ownership and minimal handholding.

This is a 2-year contract role with a strong possibility of conversion to permanent, subject to performance and internal approval.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain production OpenShift clusters
• Perform cluster deployment, upgrades, patching, and configuration changes
• Manage cluster capacity and node provisioning
• Work closely with automation-focused teammates to improve reliability and consistency
• Monitor platform health, availability, and service levels
• Implement and maintain backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures
• Maintain clear documentation, runbooks, and operational playbooks
• Support security hardening and compliance requirements

Requirements:

• At least 6 years of experience in OpenShift and Kubernetes
• Strong hands-on experience administering Red Hat OpenShift
• Experience supporting production Kubernetes platforms
• Exposure to both on-prem and AWS-based OpenShift environments
• Strong Linux administration skills
