Job Summary
Provide technical support by installing, configuring, and administering servers and network components. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, assist users with IT problems, maintain documentation, and support IT projects and research.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and administer Windows servers, anti-virus software, and desktop management servers to meet company compliance requirements
- Manage network components including backup systems, network switches, and wireless networks according to company standards
- Administer network security by managing file permissions, anti-virus protection, firewalls, and backup processes following company guidelines
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and application issues to resolve user IT problems promptly
- Install and configure user computers and peripherals to ensure operational readiness
- Provide direct IT support to users for daily technical issues to maintain productivity
- Prepare and maintain IT documentation and guidelines in compliance with IT policies
- Maintain accurate IT records according to company policies and guidelines
- Assist in project implementation and provide support as assigned by supervisors
- Conduct research and development on new IT technologies as directed by supervisors
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in IT, Computer Science, or related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft platforms including operating systems, collaboration tools, desktop management, and Windows Server
- Familiarity with office applications similar to Microsoft Office
- Strong problem-solving skills applied to IT support and system administration
- Effective communication skills to interact with users and team members
- Ability to work independently to manage tasks and resolve issues
- Learning agility to adapt to new technologies and processes
- Collaboration skills to work effectively within teams
- Innovation mindset to contribute ideas for IT improvements
