Principal – Multi-Campus School System
Position Title
Principal – Multi-Campus Academic Leadership
Reporting To
Founder / Board / Head of School / Academic & Examination Board (AEB)
Location
Primary campus with responsibility across all current and future campuses (Singapore / India / International as applicable)
Role Purpose (Why this role exists)
The Multi-Campus Principal is the chief academic authority across all campuses, responsible for academic integrity, curriculum governance, teaching quality, assessment standards, and faculty excellence, while ensuring consistency of outcomes across locations.
This role does not run daily operations.
It owns academic vision, execution, and outcomes across campuses.
Core Mandate
Ensure one academic standard, one philosophy, one outcome framework across all campuses
Translate curriculum intent into classroom-level excellence
Act as academic custodian for regulators, parents, and boards
Build a scalable academic system, not campus-dependent excellence
Key Responsibilities
1. Academic Governance & Curriculum Leadership
Own and govern:
Curriculum framework (CBSE-aligned / international)
Learning outcomes & competency mapping
Academic policies (assessment, promotion, grading, remediation)
Ensure curriculum consistency across:
Campuses
Grades
Teachers
Chair / co-chair:
Academic & Examination Board (AEB)
Curriculum Review Committees
Lead annual curriculum audits and revisions
2. Teaching Quality & Faculty Excellence
Define non-negotiable teaching standards
Approve:
Lesson planning frameworks
Pedagogy models
Classroom observation rubrics
Oversee:
Teacher induction & certification
Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
Faculty performance reviews (academic lens)
Mentor:
Campus Vice Principals / Deputy Principals (Academic)
HODs across campuses
3. Assessment, Examination & Student Outcomes
Own end-to-end academic assessment integrity:
Internal assessments
Benchmark testing
Board readiness (where applicable)
Ensure:
Standardized papers & rubrics across campuses
Fairness, moderation, and academic rigor
Track:
Student performance trends
Learning gaps
Intervention effectiveness
Present academic outcome reports to:
Board
Parents (selective forums)
Regulators (as required)
4. Multi-Campus Academic Standardisation
Design and enforce:
Common academic calendar
Unified syllabus pacing
Cross-campus teacher alignment sessions
Ensure:
A student in Campus A receives the same academic quality as Campus B
Lead academic readiness for:
New campus launches
Grade additions
Curriculum extensions
5. Regulatory & Inspection Readiness (Academic)
Act as academic face for:
PEI / CBSE / affiliating bodies
Inspection panels
External auditors (academic scope)
Ensure:
Academic documentation completeness
Teacher qualification compliance
Assessment and curriculum traceability
Support ERF / affiliation submissions (academic sections)
6. Parent & Stakeholder Confidence
Represent the school in:
Academic townhalls
Curriculum briefings
Complex parent escalations (academic)
Clearly articulate:
Learning philosophy
Academic pathways
Assessment rationale
Build credibility, not marketing narratives
7. Academic System Building (Scalability)
Design systems for:
Academic SOPs
Teacher handbooks
Lesson repositories
Assessment banks
Reduce dependency on individual teachers
Enable smooth academic replication across campuses
What This Role Is NOT
❌ Does NOT manage:
Daily school operations
Facilities
Transport
Admissions execution
❌ Does NOT replace the Head of School
❌ Does NOT run campus admin teams
(Those sit with Head of School / Campus Leadership)
Required Qualifications & Experience
Essential
Post-graduate degree in Education / Subject Specialisation
Minimum 12–15 years in academic leadership roles
Experience as:
Principal / Senior Academic Head / Academic Director
Proven experience across:
Curriculum design
Teacher mentoring
Assessment governance
Highly Preferred
Multi-campus or system-level experience
CBSE / ICSE / Cambridge / IB-aligned exposure
Experience in:
New school setup
Curriculum rollouts
Inspection handling
Key Competencies
Academic judgment & integrity
Ability to standardise without diluting excellence
Strong written & verbal articulation
Calm authority with teachers and parents
Systems thinker (not personality-driven leadership)
