Our client operates within the enterprise technology and digital services industry, delivering modern application solutions for large-scale business and public-sector environments. The role focuses on building robust Android applications integrated with Java and Spring Boot backend services.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop, and support Android mobile applications across the full development lifecycle.
• Develop high-quality Android applications using Java, integrating seamlessly with Spring Boot–based backend services.
• Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into clean, efficient, and scalable mobile code
• Ensure application performance, security, quality, and responsiveness across Android versions.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and manage data exchange between mobile and backend systems.
• Troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and fix defects in production and post-release environments.
• Maintain code quality through proper documentation, version control, and automated testing practices.
• Collaborate with backend, QA, and business stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum delivery model.

Technical Skills & Experience

Core (Must Have)

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Java development, including Java Spring Boot for backend services.
• Strong hands-on experience in Android application development using Java.
• Solid understanding of Android SDK, application lifecycle, and multi-version support.
• Experience consuming and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with SQL databases and data persistence.
• Proficiency with Git or similar version control systems.

Good to Have

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated build/release processes.
• Experience with push notifications, cloud messaging, or mobile security features.
• Understanding of Material Design and Android UI/UX best practices.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (relevant experience considered in lieu of formal education)
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.
• Strong communication skills with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset
