Android Mobile Developer

Location: Primarily Bukit Merah; also AMK / Science Park depending on project requirements
Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin.
• Build modern, responsive UIs using Jetpack Compose and Android frameworks.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices.
• Collaborate with backend teams to integrate RESTful APIs.
• Participate in Agile development (sprint planning, code reviews, retrospectives).
• Debug, troubleshoot, and improve app performance and reliability.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, and testing.
• Perform unit testing, UI testing, and support UAT.
• Monitor app performance and continuously improve based on feedback.
• Document technical designs and implementations.

Requirements

• Around 2 years of Android development (Kotlin) experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of Kotlin fundamentals (coroutines, flows, null safety).
• Experience with Android Jetpack (ViewModel, LiveData/Flow, Navigation).
• Familiarity with Jetpack Compose or modern Android UI development.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and handling JSON data.
• Knowledge of Git version control.
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile practices.
• Exposure to DevOps is an advantage.
• Hands-on, passionate about programming, and eager to learn.
• Self-motivated, team player, with good communication skills and a can-do attitude.
