Job Summary

Design and develop mechanical products for hydro-power applications, utilizing CAD tools and engineering expertise to create, verify, and support innovative valve and piping solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical products including hydro-power valves, piping, and fittings to meet project specifications
• Prepare and issue Bill of Materials (BOM) lists accurately for project components
• Use CAD and 3D CAD software to plan, develop, design, and verify mechanical design projects
• Troubleshoot mechanical design issues and devise effective solutions to resolve them promptly
• Research and stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in mechanical design to enhance product innovation
• Provide technical support to internal teams and stakeholders as required

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience using CADD software such as AutoCAD and Unigraphics (UG) NX, and FEA software like Ansys Mechanical
• At least 1 year of experience as a mechanical design engineer in the hydro-power industry
• Sound knowledge of interpreting engineering drawings and creating 3D models
• Strong verbal, written, and communication skills to collaborate effectively
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
