Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for electrical and plumbing systems, including inspections, servicing, repairs, and troubleshooting
• Supervise and inspect electrical and plumbing installations to ensure compliance with safety regulations, statutory codes (e.g., PUB, BCA), and company standards
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults, such as wiring, lighting, distribution boards, and equipment issues
• Maintain, repair, and replace plumbing systems, including water supply, sanitary fixtures, drainage systems, and water storage tanks
• Conduct water tank cleaning, disinfection, and scheduled maintenance in accordance with PUB and NEA requirements
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, servicing, and repairs using internal maintenance management systems/logs
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members on M&E matters, and coordinate with other departments/sections to ensure smooth operations
• Liaise with contractors, project teams, and regulatory authorities for inspections, submissions, or compliance-related works
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and support after-hours call-outs if required
• Carry out any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Management

Requirements:

• Minimum NITEC/ITE Certificate or Diploma in Electrical, Plumbing, Building Services, Mechanical Services, or equivalent
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in M&E maintenance, preferably in dormitory, hostel, or large facility environments
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, safety protocols, and statutory requirements; practical experience in troubleshooting and repair is essential
• Familiar with plumbing systems, PUB’s Code of Practice on Water Services, and water tank maintenance procedures; Licensed Plumber (PUB) certification is an advantage
• Proficient in English (spoken and written) for work-related communication. Ability to communicate in additional languages such as Tamil, Bengali, or Mandarin is an advantage to support effective communication with dormitory residents from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail
• Physically fit, able to work in outdoor/rooftop environments, and comfortable with a hands-on role
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
