Job Description
The Sustainability & Marketing Strategist at Little Totler will drive the company’s sustainability transformation while championing its brand story through purpose-driven marketing. Sustainability is the primary function of this role — covering packaging reform, AI-enabled operations, clean food philosophy, and community education. Marketing responsibilities are sustainability-led: translating eco-initiatives into compelling content, campaigns, and school engagement programmes that build brand trust and audience growth.
• Diploma or Degree holder in any discipline (sustainability, environmental science, food science, marketing, or communications preferred)
• Mid-career switcher with at least 2 years of prior work experience in a substantially different domain
• Genuine interest in sustainability, clean eating, and reducing environmental impact in F&B
• Some experience or strong interest in content creation, social media, or brand storytelling
• Comfortable exploring and implementing digital tools and AI-assisted workflow automation
• Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills
• Enthusiasm for community education, especially engaging children and school groups
• Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident, minimum 21 years old (Mom with kids will be bonus)
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Sustainable Packaging Transition
~25% of time
Lead Little Totler’s transition from single-use plastic cups to sustainable paper-based packaging:
• Research and shortlist paper cup suppliers with relevant certifications (e.g. FSC-certified, food-safe, compostable or recyclable)
• Run pilot tests with kitchen and operations teams; manage rollout timeline and vendor coordination
• Track packaging waste reduction metrics before and after transition
• Evaluate additional packaging improvements (labels, delivery bags, cutlery, condiment sachets)
• Support compliance with Singapore’s mandatory packaging reporting under the Resource Sustainability Act
2. AI-Enabled Process Automation
~15% of time
Identify and deploy AI tools and automation agents to reduce manual tasks across operations:
• Map existing manual workflows (order processing, inventory, customer feedback, scheduling) to identify automation opportunities
• Evaluate and implement AI agents or no-code automation tools suited to Little Totler’s scale
• Measure efficiency gains and document sustainability benefits (reduced paper use, streamlined processes)
• Train staff on new tools and foster a culture of digital-first, sustainable operations
3. Clean Food Sourcing & Sustainable Food Practices
~10% of time
Advance Little Totler’s commitment to cleaner, more sustainably sourced food:
• Review ingredient sourcing; prioritise whole, minimally processed, and locally sourced ingredients where feasible
• Work with kitchen and menu teams to reduce ultra-processed ingredients and introduce lower-impact alternatives
• Implement food waste tracking across the central kitchen with reduction protocols (FIFO, portion management)
• Research carbon footprint of key menu items and recommend lower-emission food choices over time
4. Community Education & School Kitchen Tours
~10% of time
Design and run sustainability education programmes for school groups visiting the central kitchen:
• Develop age-appropriate tour content connecting food origins, kitchen practices, and eco-friendly packaging
• Coordinate logistics for school visits — scheduling, guide scripts, materials, and post-visit follow-up
• Build and maintain partnerships with primary schools, preschools, and early childhood centres
• Run internal staff awareness campaigns on sustainability targets and milestones
5. Sustainability-Led Brand Marketing & Content
~25% of time
Create and execute marketing campaigns that authentically communicate Little Totler’s sustainability story:
• Develop social media content (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook) centred on eco-packaging, clean ingredients, kitchen transparency, and school engagement
• Produce or coordinate Reels, short-form videos, and behind-the-scenes content showcasing sustainability practices
• Write captions, blog posts, and EDM content aligned with the company’s green brand narrative
• Track content performance metrics and refine strategy based on engagement and reach data
• Support product launches and seasonal campaigns with sustainability-first messaging
6. KOL / Community Partnerships & School Outreach Marketing
~10% of time
Build and manage external partnerships that amplify sustainability messaging:
• Identify and engage parent influencers, eco-conscious KOLs, and family-focused community accounts
• Coordinate school tour promotion — outreach emails, digital flyers, and social amplification
• Manage campaign briefs, timelines, and deliverables for external collaborators
• Represent Little Totler at relevant community events, sustainability fairs, or F&B expos
