GENERAL SUMMARY
The successful candidate will take over the marine operations for the Singapore & Malaysia books which will reach USD12.3mill at the end of 2026. In addition, will be a key contributor to the Hong Kong and Philippines marine operations management, helping to guide and train UA across the APAC region.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be responsible for the marine operations for Singapore and Malaysia, and assist with Hong Kong and Philippines marine operations management
- Preparing renewals business reports, including loss ratio experience and premium payment records 2 months prior policies expiry dates
- Performing renewal review for Commercial & Mid-Market accounts to be reviewed by the U/W
- Co-ordinating the issuance of reverse flow and locally admitted policies in Singapore
- Updating of production reports regularly, for the U/W to track progress of production vs budget
- Effectively handle company’s reporting and production systems with co-ordination with HO.
- Be able to lead a team of U/A provide continuous training and guidance to them according to departments’ objectives
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of Marine Underwriting assistant experience
- Tertiary education or equivalent
- General knowledge and understanding of Insurance documentation
- Strong analytical and communication Skills both with internal and external stakeholders
- IT savvy with strong knowledge of MS Office – Knowledge/Use of Insurance related software will be a plus
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-cultural environment and multi-location teams
