Job Description
We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting new product introduction, improving manufacturing processes, and driving operational efficiency. This position involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure technical issues are resolved effectively and production runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
• Support New Product Development: Participate in the development and integration of new products into manufacturing.
• Technical Package Review: Evaluate incoming technical documentation and ensure readiness for production.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with customers, suppliers, contractors, and internal departments to resolve technical challenges.
• Feasibility Studies: Conduct assessments on manufacturing capacity, layout enhancements, and process improvements.
• Process Documentation: Prepare and maintain production documents including Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Process Control Plans (PCP), and Work Instructions (WI).
• Productivity Improvement: Initiate and implement improvements in process efficiency, including the selection, design, and deployment of fixtures and equipment.
• Process Optimization: Periodically review and analyze production processes for potential capacity and efficiency enhancements.
• Material Review Board (MRB): Participate in MRB meetings and provide recommendations on material acceptance or rejection.
• Quality Support: Offer technical support to QA teams and assist in audits and issue resolutions.
• Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers (if applicable).
• Work Conditions: Willingness to work in a cleanroom environment and travel overseas when necessary.
• Ad-hoc: Undertake special projects and tasks as assigned on an as-needed basis
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Degree / Diploma in Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering or its equivalent.
• At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in assembly / automation manufacturing environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD software
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM) structure
• Ability to read mechanical drawings with basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and a proactive mindset
• Experience in or exposure to the semiconductor industry is a strong advantage
