TomoWork is a Singapore charity with IPC status dedicated to empowering persons with disabilities and students requiring tailored assistance.  

The word ‘Tomo’ means ‘friend’ in Japanese, a term that embodies our core belief in the power of community and the importance of belonging. About the Role 

We are looking for a strategic and dynamic professional to cultivate our Japanese corporate community and accelerate our digital transformation. While TomoWork serves the wider ecosystem in Singapore, this role is uniquely focused on deepening partnerships with our key Japanese stakeholders and the Japanese business community in Singapore 

Concurrently, you will architect and implement organisation-wide digitalisation initiatives and champion the adoption of AI technologies to elevate our productivity, data utilisation, and operational agility.  

Key Responsibilities 

1. Partnership & Community Engagement (Japan Portfolio) 

• Impact-Drive Communication: Design and deliver high-quality, data-backed impact reports for senior leadership of key stakeholders, shifting from tactical updates to demonstrating long-term value creation.  

• Partnership Cultivation: Act as the primary bridge to the Japanese corporate community in Singapore, identifying opportunities for collaboration and co-creation for disability inclusion initiatives.  

• Cultural Alignment: Tailor engagement models, communication and relationship-building strategies to align seamlessly with the corporate culture and expectations of Japanese enterprises.  

2. Digital Transformation and Operational Efficiency 

• Digital & AI Roadmap Execution: Lead the evaluation, deployment and scaling of modern IT and AI-driven solutions to optimise workflows, remove operational friction and improve lean team productivity.  

• Collaboration & Data Utilisation: Establish robust digital systems that enhance cross-functional collaboration, secure data sharing, and insight management across the organisation.  

• Information Security & Governance: Safeguard organisational data and infrastructure by establishing and maintaining resilient cybersecurity policies, systems and operational best practices (including the responsible use of AI frameworks). 

Job Requirement 

Experience 

• At least 8-10 years of professional experience, with a proven track record in stakeholder management, partnership building, or corporate relations, specifically working with Japanese companies 

• Hands-on experience driving IT implementation, digital transformation and workflow automation projects. 

Skills 

• Bilingual Capability: Excellent written and spoken English is required. Fluency in Japanese (spoken and written) is required as the role involves direct communication, high-level negotiations, and relationship management with Japanese corporate partners and native Japanese-speaking stakeholders.

• Tech & AI Literacy: Strong familiarity with cloud-based collaboration ecosystems, SaaS tools, workplace automation platforms, and practical generative AI tools or automation workflows.  

• Possession of a recognised certification in IT or information systems (e.g., PMP, ITIL, AWS, or equivalent) is an advantage.

• Governance: Good Knowledge of cybersecurity standards, data protection or IT governance frameworks.
