Role and Responsibilites

• Conduct toolbox talks and pre-lift meetings to ensure team understanding of lifting procedures and risks.
• Ensure all lifting operations comply with relevant rigging and safety standards (e.g., OSHA, ANSI, NCCER, LOLER).
• Inspect lifting and rigging equipment (slings, shackles, chains, spreader bars, etc.) for certification, damage and usability.
• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date rigging equipment register and lifting documentation.
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, crane operators, and HSE teams for planning and execution.
• Supervise and guide rigging crews during critical or heavy lifts.
• Issue and file daily lift checklists, permits, and incident/near-miss reports if applicable.
• Monitor third-party lifting equipment inspections and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Ensure all personnel involved in lifting are qualified and certified for their roles.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in Tamil and/or Bangla
• Minimum 10 years work experience as Lifting / Rigging Supervisor preferably in oil & gas or large construction projects
