For an upcoming drilling rig construction and reactivation project in Singapore, Peak Ocean is assembling an owner-side PMT. We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Naval Arch Engineer to serve as a Client Representative in this role.
The Role: PMT Leadership — Naval Architecture Division
As part of the Peak Ocean PMT, you will act strictly in the client's interest, reporting to the Engineering Manager. Your mission is to hold final technical authority over the naval architecture division scope, ensuring the shipyard's fabrication, installation, and commissioning handover is delivered safely, to specification, and on schedule.
- Serve as the ultimate marine authority for the PMT's naval architecture division.
- Manage critical technical interfaces between Peak Ocean, the Engineering Manager, the shipyard technical office, classification societies (DNV/ABS), and Flag State.
- Lead the review and final sign-off of stability booklets, hull structural analysis, jacking system design, and loadout/sea-fastening procedures.
- Manage and mentor the Senior and Naval Arch Engineers on site.
- Hold final accountability for the naval architecture division's contribution to on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Coordinate with the Asset Readiness Lead on marine systems inputs to the critical spares list and two-year spares list.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Naval Architecture.
- Comprehensive understanding of IMO MODU Code, SOLAS, Classification Society rules (ABS/DNV), and applicable Flag State requirements.
- Minimum 12+ years of experience in offshore/marine construction or fabrication.
- Minimum 5+ years of PMT / Client Representative experience leading teams.
- Excellent command and with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
