Lab Technician (Lubricant Testing/ Oil & Gas)
Location: Benoi
Salary up to $3500
1-year contract
Shift work
Main Functions:
- Support/assist the lab supervisors/chemists by performing routine and non-routine laboratory analysis/wet chemistry on product and in-process samples, to support plant operations for the purpose of quality assurance/control.
- Perform calibration and maintenance of test equipment.
- Prepare samples and ensure accurate data generation and records, in accordance with the standard operating procedures.
- Utilize analytical instruments to address quality assurance/control issues.
- Prepare chemical stock solutions and reagents, as well as set preparation standards. Position will receive direction and support.
Responsibilities :
- Responsible for performing laboratory analysis necessary for the completion of projects typically under the direction of Group Lead and/or in consultation with the Technical Advisor(s)
- Responsible for adhering to and managing quality control programs. This includes maintaining documentation of their experimental results and equipment maintenance and calibration whenever assigned by Group Lead
- Responsible for customer sample distribution process and associated activities to meet agreed turnaround time
- Periodic review and update lab quality and controls documents/procedures
- Responsible for Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) setup for new and existing equipment
- Responsible for performing laboratory analysis necessary for the completion of projects typically under the direction of Group Lead and/or in consultation with the Technical Advisor(s) whenever assigned by Group Lead
- Support Group/Program Lead in defining strategies, experimental plan and scope of project. This includes defining test execution details such as coordination of support services (analytical, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, purchasing, etc.)
- The Technician may lead smaller technical support projects in their area of expertise. Technician generally plan one’s own work activities to meet defined project objectives and timetables.
Requirements:
- Diploma with background in Chemical/Process/Technical Engineering.
- Experience in quality control systems
Extra Information :
- Day shift (M): 7.30am – 7.30pm
- Night Shift (N) : 7.30pm – 7.30am
