Senior Scientist – Lab Specialist

At AITbiotech, we develop innovative molecular diagnostics solutions including qPCR assays, targeted NGS workflows, and molecular testing platforms for clinical and research applications. Our products support infectious disease testing, antimicrobial resistance detection, and precision diagnostics across regional and global markets.

We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Lab Specialist to support daily laboratory operations, molecular assay development activities, and manufacturing support for our growing molecular diagnostics and targeted NGS product portfolio.

What You’ll Do

• Support day-to-day laboratory operations and maintain an organized laboratory environment.
• Participate in R&D activities related to molecular diagnostics and targeted NGS assay development.
• Participate in manufacturing, preparation, and packaging of molecular diagnostic kits and reagents.
• Perform routine molecular biology workflows including:
• a. Nucleic acid extraction
• b. PCR and real-time PCR
• c. Basic NGS library preparation support
• d. Sample preparation and handling
• Assist in validation and verification studies to support product development and commercialization.
• Prepare reagents, consumables, and laboratory materials for experiments and production activities.
• Maintain laboratory inventory, consumables, and equipment records.
• Support documentation activities including batch records, SOPs, and laboratory logs.
• Uphold and support ISO 13485 and company Quality Management Systems. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth execution of laboratory and operational activities.
• Contribute to other functions as defined in company procedures.

What We’re Looking For

Educational background:

• Diploma or Degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, or related life sciences.

Experience:

• Prior laboratory experience in molecular biology or diagnostics is preferred.
• Fresh graduates with strong practical laboratory skills are welcome to apply.

Technical skills:

• Familiarity with molecular biology techniques such as nucleic acid extraction, PCR, and real-time PCR.
• Exposure to NGS workflows is an advantage but not required.

Digital proficiency:

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Personal attributes:
