Job Description:
- Handle general enquiries regarding shipments, vessel’s ETA and charges.
- Conduct targeted conversations with customers to identify customer needs.
- Ensure timely dispatch of shipping documents to customers and overseas agents.
- Liaise with customers and overseas agent on shipping activities and documentation.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all documentation to comply with customs regulations and international trade requirements.
- Familiar with shipping incoterms.
- Perform data entry for freight services.
- Manage the complete documentation for compliance operations and/or advise clients on tariff/rate/cost/quotation requirements and eligibility.
- Communicate and coordinate with external stakeholders to ensure operational excellence
- Work with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of interest within business activities.
- Follow operational policies, standards, and procedures.
- Any other ad-hoc duties as required.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience in freight forwarding, shipping, or logistics operations preferred.
- Good understanding of international shipping procedures, documentation, and customs regulations.
- Familiarity with shipping Incoterms and freight processes (air/sea freight).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage customers and overseas agents effectively.
- Customer-oriented mindset with the ability to identify needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.
- Proficient in data entry and comfortable working with logistics or freight management systems.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle operational issues independently.
- Team player with the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Good command of written and spoken English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Willingness to take on ad-hoc duties and adapt to operational needs.
