Human Resources Lead – Family Office
Role Purpose
The HR Lead is responsible for establishing and maintaining a disciplined, compliant, and high-trust people framework within the Family Office.
This role requires absolute discretion, sound judgment, and the ability to balance professional HR governance with the realities of a private, principal-led environment.
The role is hands-on, execution-focused, and accountable—designed for someone who can operate independently and advise principals with clarity and confidence.
Core Responsibilities
HR Governance & Compliance
Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies, employee handbooks, and SOPs.
Ensure compliance with employment laws, contracts, payroll practices, and statutory requirements.
Manage disciplinary processes, terminations, and regulatory matters with accuracy and fairness.
Talent & Performance Management
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, probation, confirmation, and exits.
Implement performance management frameworks, KPIs, appraisals, and improvement plans.
Support leadership in identifying and retaining trusted, high-performing staff.
Compensation, Payroll & Benefits
Ensure payroll accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality.
Administer compensation structures, bonuses, allowances, and benefits.
Maintain internal consistency and market alignment while respecting family office sensitivities.
Employee Relations & Culture
Act as a trusted HR advisor on conduct, performance, and workplace issues.
Handle grievances and sensitive matters firmly, fairly, and discreetly.
Reinforce a culture of accountability, professionalism, and respect.
Confidentiality & Risk Management
Safeguard all employee and principal information.
Identify people-related risks and proactively mitigate compliance and reputational exposure.
Maintain clear boundaries between personal, family, and corporate employment matters.
Systems & Process Control
Manage HR systems (HRIS, attendance, leave, records).
Maintain accurate employee records, documentation, and reporting.
Continuously improve HR processes for efficiency and clarity.
Advisory Support
Provide practical HR advice to principals and senior management.
Translate business and family objectives into structured HR actions.
Support workforce planning and succession initiatives where required.
Experience & Qualifications
Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline.
5–8+ years of HR experience, preferably in a family office, private investment firm, or professional services environment.
Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
Proven experience handling confidential and senior-level matters.
