Head of Personal Training Business & Growth

Build a Personal Training Business, Not Just a Team

We are expanding our fitness and wellness platform and are looking for a strong commercial leader to build and scale our Personal Training business across multiple locations.

This is not simply a senior trainer or coaching role.

You will have the opportunity to recruit and shape a high-performing PT team, build the sales engine, improve trainer productivity and influence how the PT business grows across our gyms, studios and future wellness services.

This role is suited to someone who enjoys building teams, creating systems and turning commercial opportunities into sustainable business results.

Core Mandate

You will build and scale a strong Personal Training business by:

• Recruiting and developing a reliable pipeline of trainers.
• Generating and converting sufficient client demand.
• Establishing disciplined sales and delivery protocols.
• Improving trainer productivity and client retention.
• Growing PT revenue while protecting margins and business economics.

What You Will Own

Build the Team

• Recruit, assess and onboard capable Personal Trainers.
• Build a structured progression pathway for rookie and junior trainers.
• Develop PT Leads and future team leaders.
• Create a strong, productive and sustainable trainer pipeline.
• Address performance gaps early and decisively.

Build the Sales Engine

• Manage the full PT funnel from lead generation to consultation, conversion and renewal.
• Improve response times, appointments, show rates and conversion.
• Develop effective consultation, follow-up and sales protocols.
• Ensure all leads are properly assigned, tracked and followed through.
• Create new client acquisition, referral and partnership channels.

Improve Business Performance

• Monitor trainer sales, sessions, utilisation, active clients and renewals.
• Maintain pricing discipline and consistent package recommendations.
• Ensure that packages sold can be properly delivered.
• Improve client onboarding, progress reviews, retention and renewal.
• Track PT revenue, payouts, costs and contribution margins.
• Use performance data to identify problems and drive improvement.

Build for Scale

• Develop repeatable PT systems across multiple locations.
• Work closely with the Head Coach, site leaders and marketing team.
• Integrate PT with gyms, Pilates, recovery and future wellness services.
• Develop new training products and revenue opportunities.
• Provide management with clear performance reporting and recommendations.

Who We Are Looking For

You may be a fitness business leader, sales manager, recruitment leader, business development professional or an experienced PT leader ready to step into broader commercial ownership.

You should have:

• Experience recruiting and developing a sales or service team.
• Strong understanding of lead generation and sales funnel management.
• Proven ability to improve conversion and team productivity.
• Commercial confidence in managing revenue, costs and margins.
• The discipline to build systems and enforce agreed standards.
• Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder-management skills.
• Confidence in addressing underperformance and driving accountability.
• The ability to work across multiple business locations.
• A builder mindset and the ambition to create something that can scale.

Fitness, wellness, membership or service-industry experience is preferred. Personal training qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
