Job Description

Role Purpose

The Head, Enterprise Development & Innovation plays a pivotal role in securing company long-term sustainability and social impact. Reporting to the CEO, you will lead the growth and diversification of income-generating services, drive service and digital innovation, and embed trauma-informed practices across all initiatives—ensuring that our enterprise efforts remain financially sound, mission-aligned, and accessible to the youth we serve.

*(This is a 2-year contract position.)*

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Development & Revenue Diversification

  • Design, develop, and scale income-generating service models—such as Counselling & Therapy Services—that align with company mission while achieving financial sustainability.
  • Develop business, pricing, and go-to-market strategies that balance cost recovery with accessibility and social impact.
  • Identify new markets, customer segments, and strategic opportunities to expand company enterprise services.
  • Collaborate with the Partnerships & Development Division to build corporate and institutional partnerships that support enterprise growth.
  • Monitor sector and market trends to proactively identify opportunities and mitigate risks related to revenue diversification.

Service & Digital Innovation

  • Lead service design and innovation to enhance user experience, effectiveness, and scalability.
  • Oversee the implementation of digital platforms that improve client experience across booking, attendance, progress tracking, and reporting.
  • Champion the adoption of technology to boost operational efficiency, enable data-driven decision-making, and measure impact.
  • Explore innovative and future-ready service delivery models, such as hybrid or immersive counselling platforms.
  • Ensure all innovations respond to the evolving needs of youth and communities.

Trauma-Informed Organisational Leadership

  • Commit to training in and championing trauma-informed principles—including safety, trust, empowerment, collaboration, and cultural responsiveness—across all enterprise and innovation activities.
  • Ensure new services, platforms, and processes are designed with the psychological safety of both youth and staff in mind.
  • Model trauma-informed leadership to foster trust, resilience, and a culture of continuous learning.

Research, Evaluation & Impact

  • Partner with the Director, Services & Programmes to implement evaluation frameworks that assess financial performance, client satisfaction, and social outcomes.
  • Apply insights from evaluations to refine enterprise strategies and service offerings.
  • Develop dashboards and reports to track the financial and social impact of income-generating services.
  • Integrate youth and community feedback into research and design processes to ensure services remain relevant and empowering.

Financial Stewardship

  • Manage enterprise budgets with transparency and accountability.
  • Align resource allocation with goals for growth, innovation, and sustainability.
  • Prepare financial projections, reports, and business cases for management and board review.
  • Adapt strategies proactively to ensure the viability and scalability of enterprise initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • 10–15 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership or business development role within the nonprofit, social enterprise, or professional services sector.
  • Proven success in developing, launching, or scaling income-generating or enterprise initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving digital adoption, service innovation, or organisational transformation.
  • Entrepreneurial drive with a systems-level mindset.
