As we continue to serve our community with products that celebrate togetherness, we are expanding our operations to include Halal-certified product lines in accordance with MUIS Halal Certification.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Halal Assurance Officer (Part-Time) to help us build and maintain our internal halal assurance system.

This role will lead our Halal Team, ensure our production processes and ingredients comply with MUIS guidelines, and serve as the key liaison between Emicakes and MUIS officers during audits and certification reviews.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the internal Halal Team in implementing and monitoring MUIS Halal Certification requirements.
• Review and verify ingredients, suppliers, and product formulations for halal compliance.
• Oversee segregation, labelling, and hygiene processes within the production area.
• Conduct internal halal audits and maintain documentation for inspection readiness.
• Coordinate with Production, QA, and Management teams on corrective actions and updates.
• Attend or complete MUIS Halal Competency Assessment (training provided by the company).

Requirements

• Valid HCA Certification
• Knowledge of halal compliance principles, or willingness to undergo MUIS training.
• Good communication and record-keeping skills.
• Strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and attention to detail.
• Prior experience in quality control, food safety, or F&B operations preferred.
• Able to commit part-time hours on-site for inspections, audits, and reviews.
