Overview
Capgemini is seeking a Payments Subject Matter Expert to support Group Treasury and Cash Operations. The role requires strong knowledge of digital banking, payments systems, and technical system interactions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work across business and technology teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand digital banking products, payments processes, and technical system interactions.
- Translate high-level business requirements into detailed system documentation.
- Analyse existing system interactions and identify improvement opportunities.
- Design end-to-end system solutions with clear understanding of dependencies and downstream impacts.
- Gather technical information from stakeholders and produce accurate technical documentation.
- Communicate system requirements to developers, testers, and business users.
- Identify and document system dependencies and integration points.
- Work in an Agile environment and use Agile tools and practices.
- Develop and maintain project plans, resources, budgets, and timelines.
- Lead data and solution design discussions with vendors, technology teams, and user groups.
- Manage and guide technical teams (developers and analysts) to deliver banking systems.
- Deliver projects according to scope, timeline, and budget requirements.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, conflicts, scope changes, and escalations.
- Partner with architects to drive technical innovation and convert ideas into working solutions.
- Support system upgrades, enhancements, and maintenance activities.
- Identify risks and issues and escalate them promptly.
- Drive testing strategy and ensure resolution of all critical defects within the testing cycle.
- Maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders and external partners.
- Lead governance meetings and prepare necessary materials and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Provide direction to offshore teams and support day-to-day decisions.
Preferred Experience
- Strong track record in delivering Digital Banking or Payments solutions.
- At least 1 year of experience managing the full lifecycle of technical system requirements.
- Good knowledge of consumer banking products such as Retail Banking, Cards, ATM and Payments, Internet and Mobile Banking.
- Ability to validate requirements and support users during UAT and post-implementation.
- Experience working with IT teams, architects, and system owners to produce high-quality deliverables.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Understanding of technology stacks and architecture layers.
- Experience in both Waterfall and Agile (SCRUM) delivery models.
- Strong leadership skills, results-oriented, able to work independently.
