About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Full Time Baker to join our team at Blush Artisan Cakes. The baker will play an important role in producing high quality cakes, pastries and components for our wedding cakes and retail bakes. You will work closely with our chefs to ensure consistency, taste and presentation in every creation.

Key Responsibilities

• Bake cake sponges, cupcakes, cookies and other cake components according to Blush Artisan Cakes’ recipes and standards
• Prepare fillings, buttercream and other elements for cake assembly
• Assist in cake layering, stacking and finishing when required
• Ensure all baked goods are of consistent quality, texture and taste
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen at all times
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in ingredient preparation and storage
• Support the kitchen team with daily operations and order timelines
• Assist in packing, labelling and preparation for deliveries and setups
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Head Chef or Management

Requirements

• At least 1 year of relevant experience in a bakery or cake studio (fresh graduates with strong passion are welcome to apply)
• Good knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients and kitchen safety
• SFA Food Hygiene certification (or willing to obtain one)
• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
• Able to adapt to a fast paced environment, learn quickly and take initiative when needed
• Team player with a positive attitude and strong sense of responsibility
• Able to work weekends and public holidays when required

Working Hours

• 2 off days per week (on rotation basis)
• Work timing between 8.00am to 7.00pm, rotational shifts such as 8.00am to 5.00pm or 10.00am to 7.00pm
