Primary Responsibility

Collaborate with marketing team to drive new ideas and strategies on new product development, and assist in the continuous improvement existing products.

Material sourcing, research and reporting of market trends, work on process improvements to achieve better efficiency and cost.

Evaluate acceptability of raw materials from new suppliers.

Participate in product quality improvement to support Quality Assurance department regarding product complaints and cost improvements.

Assist sales and marketing team with technical enquiries. Provide technical support to product development team.

Work on new/existing product labelling, to review & update the product labelling to meet customer & regulatory regulations. (Singapore/Export Market)

Prepare samples for sensory and evaluation.

Document manufacturing protocols and standards (SOP).

Maintain updated records of work activities: objectives of test, formulas, costing calculation, processing condition, required equipment and equipment setup.

Perform maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment, and maintain good hygiene & cleanliness in the R&D laboratory.

Undertake any other duties as assigned by superiors from time to time.

Secondary Responsibility

QC inspection at production lines and maintaining QC documents

Monitoring of critical control points

Arrange to send finished products for microbial testing

Ensure compliance with house rules and regulations

Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues and provide root cause and corrective action to be taken

Participation in all audit checks from customer, regulatory bodies and certification bodies. (SFA,ISO, Halal)

Develop and constantly update material data base for product specification, nutritional information, etc.
