FITNESS INSTRUCTOR

About the job

Based at Mandarin Oriental, Singapore within the Spa Department in Singapore, the fitness instructor is responsible in playing a vital role in providing exceptional services to guests, and overseeing the efficient and effective operations of the fitness studio. The Fitness Instructor reports to the Director of Spa & Wellness. 

As Fitness Instructor, you will be responsible for the following duties: 

• Fulfill daily duties assigned to them and observe safety measures governing the use of equipment.

• Develop safe and effective exercises for individuals of various fitness equipments

• Instructors are to be present in the gym at all times during their shifts, and are only to leave the gym during their specified break times.

• Opening and/or closing of the gym and completion of checklists

• Maintain cleanliness of gym equipment and the facilities.

As Fitness Instructor, we expect from you:

• Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate/NiTEC relating to fitness/sports.

• Preferably with experience working in similar capacity and in hotel industry.

• Good communication skills and enjoys interaction with guests. 

• Knowledge of fitness equipments and exercises.

• Candidate must be able to work on rotational shift including weekends and public holidays
