Job Description

As the Financial Controller, you will serve as the financial backbone of our established F&B group. This is a high-impact leadership role that bridges the gap between meticulous technical accounting and forward-looking strategic partnership. You will oversee the full spectrum of financial functions across multiple outlets, ensuring fiscal health while driving operational efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Core Responsibilities

Financial Control & Operations

• Maintain the integrity of the General Ledger and oversee all accounts (AP/AR, Fixed Assets, Inventory).
• Standardize financial SOPs across all restaurant outlets to ensure consistency and prevent leakage.
• Manage the Internal Audit process and coordinate with external auditors for year-end filings.
• Optimize Payroll and Tax compliance (VAT/GST, Corporate Tax, and Statutory filings).

Management Accounting & Operational Analysis

• Analyze COGS + Labour performance against industry benchmarks.
• Oversee inventory management systems and conduct variance analysis on theoretical vs. actual food usage.
• Monitor daily POS reconciliations and investigate discrepancies in cash handling or merchant fees.

Financial Reporting & Budgeting

• Lead the Month-End and Year-End closing process, producing consolidated financial statements.
• Prepare monthly management reporting packs with clear commentary on P&L variances.
• Drive the Annual Budgeting process and periodic forecasting cycles (Rolling Forecasts).
• Develop and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Strategic Analysis & Cash Flow Management

• Cash Flow Optimization: Manage working capital cycles and prepare weekly cash flow projections to ensure adequate liquidity for expansion or capital expenditure.
• Feasibility Studies: Conduct ROI analysis and payback period modeling for new site acquisitions etc.
• Provide the Executive Team with data-driven insights to support long-term strategic scaling.
• Negotiate and review terms with major suppliers and landlords to optimize the cost base.
