Our Client:
Our client is a well-established freight forwarding and logistics company with a strong presence in Singapore and the region. They are looking for a hands-on Finance Manager to lead the daily operations of their accounting function, ensure financial integrity, and support business decision-making through accurate reporting and analysis.
The Role:
This is a key leadership role within the finance team. You will take full ownership of the accounting function—managing a small team, ensuring compliance, and delivering timely financial insights to support business growth. You will work closely with operations and senior management to drive financial discipline and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Operations
Oversee full sets of accounts, including AP, AR, general ledger, payroll, and monthly reconciliations
Review and approve journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance
Maintain and improve internal control systems
Financial Reporting & Compliance
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Ensure timely and accurate tax filings (GST, corporate tax) and regulatory reporting
Coordinate and support external audit processes
Budgeting & Analysis
Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
Analyse financial performance and provide insights to senior management
Monitor cash flow, working capital, and key financial metrics
Team Management
Supervise and guide 2 finance staff
Ensure timely AR follow-up and effective stakeholder engagement
The Ideal Candidate:
Diploma / Degree / ACCA qualification in Accounting or Finance
Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in logistics, freight forwarding, or trading environments
Strong discipline in AR follow-up and financial reporting
Familiarity with TXRM and KWEB systems is an advantage
Meticulous, independent, and able to manage multiple priorities
Good communication skills and ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
