Job Description
About our client: Our client operates in the process and industrial plant engineering design and consultancy sector, supporting industries such as Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Petrochemical and Refining.
About the role:
- Provide technical assistance and commissioning support to clients during installation, commissioning, startup, and overhaul of mechanical equipment including centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, reciprocating compressors, and control systems.
- Perform troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and resolution of control system issues in field environments.
- Support installation, servicing, maintenance, and startup of OEM equipment and systems.
- Interpret and read piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for field execution and troubleshooting.
- Write clear and concise daily field reports to document job progress, issues, and resolutions.
- Ensure accurate completion of installation, commissioning, and startup documentation prior to demobilisation from site.
- Prepare and submit expense reports and timesheets in a timely and accurate manner.
- Record and report field issues to enable factory investigation, corrective actions, and warranty claim resolution.
- Provide training and guidance to customer operators and maintenance personnel when required.
- Ensure compliance with company technical standards, safety requirements, and quality procedures at all times.
- Undertake any other duties as assigned by management.
About you:
- Minimum Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 4 years of hands-on field service experience in Oil & Gas and/or Petrochemical industries.
- Strong experience in turbomachinery equipment such as compressors, steam turbines, and related rotating equipment.
- Familiarity with control systems such as Triconex, Siemens, Allen-Bradley PLCs, or equivalent.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, technical drawings, and engineering documentation.
- Proficient in MS Office and MS Project applications.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customer-facing experience.
- Ability to work independently with a high level of integrity, responsibility, and professionalism.
- Willingness to travel extensively for overseas assignments.
