Job Summary

The Field Engineer is responsible for the installation, testing, and commissioning of diesel generators and associated fuel systems at project sites. The role involves coordinating installation works, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, and supporting system commissioning to ensure reliable generator operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and carry out installation of diesel generator sets, base frames, exhaust systems, and associated accessories at project sites.

• Oversee installation of fuel systems including diesel storage tanks, fuel transfer pumps, piping, valves, and filtration systems.
• Coordinate with contractors, fabricators, and electricians to ensure proper installation of mechanical and electrical components.
• Review technical drawings, P&ID diagrams, and installation layouts to ensure works are carried out according to project specifications.
• Ensure proper installation of fuel piping systems, leak prevention measures, and fuel transfer systems.
• Conduct pre-commissioning checks, testing, and commissioning of generator systems and fuel supply systems.
• Verify functionality of fuel pumps, fuel level systems, leak detection systems, and safety controls.
• Prepare and submit installation reports, commissioning records, and project documentation.
• Ensure compliance with site safety regulations, WSH requirements, and permit-to-work procedures.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and project teams during installation and commissioning stages.
• Provide technical recommendations and support for system modifications or improvements.
