Job Description

Job Responsibilities

Maintain complete knowledge of:

- All menu items available in the bar

- All liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic selectionsavailable in the bar

- Every wine/champagne by the glass and major wines on thewine list

- Designated glassware and garnishes for drinks

- Out of stock items

- Bar layout, station layout, hours of operation

- Imputing of items in the Info Genesis system

- Daily arrival / departure, VIPs

- Be aware of in-house group activities, locations and times

- Correct maintenance and use of equipment

- All department policies / service procedures

·        Initiates and engages in conversation with allguests in a professional and friendly manner.

·        Acts as an ambassador of the venue, marketingthe outlet and all products offered to the targeted customer base.

·        Provide bottle service and participate in bottlerituals.

·        Attend line-ups with other staff and review allinformation pertinent to the day’s business.

·        Check own grooming and attire standard.

·        Meet with Head Bartenders or Manager to reviewdaily specials and out of stock items. Ensure that other members of the staffare aware of such changes.

·        Communicate closely with Head Bartenders andbartenders to ensure quality service is achieved.

·        Assist other service attendants wheneverpossible.

·        Perform work and side duties in accordance withdepartmental procedures.

·        Maintain storage areas with proper supplies,organization, and cleanliness. Rectify any cleanliness/organizationdeficiencies as requested by superiors.

·        Replenish par levels for supplies and equipment.Complete requisitions to replenish shortages or additional items needed for theanticipated business.

·        Upsell to guests whenever possible.

·        Collection of empty glassware.

·        Prepare special items for events in accordancewith superior’s requests.

·        Attend meal breaks as assigned.

·        Prepare workstations & pantries, ensuringcompliance to departmental standards.

·        Ensure that all materials, equipment are incomplete readiness for service in accordance to business needs.

·        Ensuring that all procedures are carried out todepartmental standards.

·        Participate and contribute in all designatedmeetings and training sessions.

·        Daily check and cleaning of work areas ensuringcompliance with standards of cleanliness and order. Report any defects toManager on Duty.

·        Anticipate, acknowledge and respond promptly toguests requests at all times.

·        Be familiar with all operation services/featuresand local attractions/activities to respond accurately to any guest inquiry.

·        Report guest opportunities to Superiorsfollowing the instant pacification procedures and ensuring guest satisfaction.Advise of the problem and if unable to solve the problem, ask for superior’sassistance.

·        Anticipate, acknowledge and respond promptly toguests requests at all times.

·        Be aware of guest reactions and communicate withsuperior and other service staff to ensure guest satisfaction.

·        Maintain cleanliness and working conditions ofdepartmental equipment, supplies, and work areas.

·        Answer outlet telephone within 3 rings, usingcorrect salutations and telephone etiquette.

·        Ensure all assigned closing duties are completedbefore signing out.

·        Take part in formal training programs.

·        Provide feedback of any problems to theSuperior.

·        Work to be part of a cooperative workingclimate, maximizing productivity and employee morale.

·        Report to Manager on Duty work orders formaintenance and repairs to be submitted to Manager.

·        Review status of assignments and any follow-upactions with Manager on Duty.

·        Successful completion of thetraining/certification processes.

·        Collect & Analyze Guest Preferences andComment Cards.

Job Requirements

Education & Certification

·        Minimum Secondary school education

Experience

·        Minimum 12 months in customer service / guestcontact roles, preferably in a hospitality organization

Other Prerequisites

·        Meet the legal age to handle alcohol for workpurposes

·        F&B Knowledge

·        Beverage experience is an advantage

·        Info Genesis Proficient is an advantage
