Our client is a leading international hospitality company. They are looking for a hands-on and reliable Technician to join their Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the hotel's facilities, equipment, and building systems to ensure a safe, comfortable, and seamless experience for our guests and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

Building & Facilities Maintenance

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, mechanical, and building systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot technical issues efficiently.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment and facilities are operating safely and effectively.
• Assist with repairs, installations, renovations, and improvement projects as required.

Operational Support

• Monitor the performance of engineering equipment and report abnormalities.
• Support event and banquet setups by ensuring all technical and facility requirements are met.
• Assist in maintaining essential systems such as lighting, water supply, ventilation, generators, and fire safety equipment.
• Coordinate with contractors and service providers during maintenance and repair works.

Safety & Compliance

• Adhere to workplace safety regulations, hotel policies, and engineering standards.
• Participate in emergency response procedures and ensure readiness of backup systems.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
• Identify and report potential hazards, equipment failures, or safety concerns promptly.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with Housekeeping, Front Office, F&B, and other departments to support hotel operations.
• Communicate effectively during shift handovers and team meetings.
• Contribute to a positive team culture through cooperation and professionalism.
• Participate in ongoing training and skills development programmes.

Guest Experience

• Ensure maintenance issues affecting guest comfort are resolved quickly and professionally.
• Carry out work with minimal disruption to hotel guests and operations.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude when interacting with guests.

Requirements

• NITEC, Higher NITEC, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of maintenance or engineering experience, preferably in hospitality, commercial buildings, or facilities management.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
• Knowledge of fire safety systems and workplace safety practices is an advantage.
