This is a sought-after role within a high-performance sport, fast-paced and dynamic environment. The successful candidate will have an invigorating working position which requires accuracy of work and flexibility for daily management, dealing with and facilitating daily interactions with world-class athletes to enable them to perform at their best.
Reporting Structure:
To the High-Performance Manager or person assigned by the Head of Pathways & Performance, to carry out all roles & responsibilities in consultation with the reporting personnel.
High Performance Support – Main responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of procedures, processes and programmes for high-performance management
- Lead on the logistic arrangements for training and competitions both in Singapore and overseas, such as submission of entries, air-tickets procurement, arranging for accommodation, coordinating pick-ups of teams at airports, visa applications, etc.
- Linking with the Finance Team about related invoicing for the above,
- Assist in tracking and updating high-performance athletes’ participation and results in competitions.
- Manage the logistics and inventory of sponsored competition attire and equipment for players & officials. Ensuring proper accounting of the “in” and “out”, e.g. shuttlecocks, equipment, attire, and any other sponsored and non-sponsored items.
- Assume the role of Team Manager for overseas training and competitions.
Other Duties:
- When the SBA organised any tournaments or selection trials, it assisted in the general secretariat functions for the tournament.
- As and when assigned by the CEO / Head of Pathways & Performance
Requirements:
- Diploma, A Level or Degree with at least one year of relevant working experience in sports
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
- Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours and travel as needed during events, including weekends and holidays.
- Prior experience in the NSA will be preferred
