Job Description

JobResponsibilities:

Facilitates the mission, vision, and values of SBC by providing administrative support to an assigned school (SOTE/SOTC/SCM/SOC/AS) by

  • Assisting the Dean in preparing the yearly budget proposal andcompilation of statistical figures for the quarterly report
  • Liaising with the Dean, faculty, adjunct lecturers, and students onacademic-related matters
  • Ensuring compliance with approved academic policies on day-to-daydecisions and operation of academic administration matters
  • Maintaining and updating student records and grades in the system, andassisting the Dean in monitoring students’ progress
  • Maintaining proper filing of documentation in both hardcopy and softcopystorage
  • Attending general inquiries, correspondences, and emails by students,faculty, or any other requests
  • Compiling weekly School chapel rosters, PCG lists, and examinationtime-tables, and liaising with guest speakers on details
  • Coordinating with the Finance Office on financial matters, such aschecking on mock-up invoices, rectifying errors in billing matters, and raisingmanual invoices and credit notes
  • Attending to students’ and alumni’s requests on grade reports,transcripts, and certified certificates
  • Supervising and organizing work for student helpers (if any)
  • Maintaining and updating academic information on the SBC website andnoticeboard
  • Being prepared to cover duties for co-workers as the need arises
  • Taking on project work and/or expansion of responsibilities raised bythe AAD
  • Handling any other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualificationsand Experience:

  • Singaporean or Singapore PR
  • Committed Christian who identifies with the mission of the College
  • Diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred with at least 2-3 years of working experience in the service industry and administrative work

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in either English or Chinese, or both
  • Competent in MS Office and Google applications, and basic internet navigation skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Knowledge of good customer service practices

Personal Attributes:

  • A team player who can also work independently
  • Detail-oriented or willing to grow in this area
  • Previous experience in an academic institution will be an advantage
