Role Overview

In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting daily vessel operations. By ensuring the timely supply of general stores (daily consumables) and general PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), as well as to maintain accurate onboard inventory, you will directly contribute to the safety, compliance, and operational efficiency of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities (Job Scope)

Reporting directly to the Team Leader of Fleet Store Team, your core duties will include:

• Manage the full procurement lifecycle for general stores and general PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), from reviewing vessel requisitions and sourcing competitive quotations to executing purchase orders.
• Evaluate the quality of delivered items routinely and conduct regular vendor performance appraisals to ensure good supply standards.
• Maintain clear, proactive communication with vendors, vessel crew, and loading contractors regarding all general stores arrangements.
• Arrange and monitor global logistics to guarantee timely delivery and successful onboard loading of ordered items.
• Coordinate and manage the dispatch of parcels from office to vessels worldwide via DHL.
• Ensure the smooth daily operation of in-house operating system, maintain accurate purchasing records, and propose continuous workflow or system improvements.
• Strictly adhere to company’s Standard Operating Procedures and fulfil all internal and external audit requirements.
• Provide reliable backup support for team members during their absence to ensure uninterrupted fleet operations.
• Perform any other ad-hoc operational duties as assigned.

Requirement for this position:

• Minimum Diploma in related studies.
• Entry level is welcome to apply. Training is provided.
• 1 - 2 years' experience in Shipping Procurement industry is an added advantage.
• Excellent organization skills and ability to multi-task under tight deadlines.
• Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and politely.
• Experience with Microsoft Office software.
• Proficient in oral and written communication skills in English language.
• Proactive and self-motivated in problem solving.
• Adhere to Company’s policies and procedures.
