Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a motivated and creative communications professional to join the Singapore Disability Sports Council (SDSC). In this role, you will contribute to shaping SDSC's branding and engagement strategies, developing compelling content across channels, supporting fundraising initiatives, and cultivating relationships with key media and stakeholder partners. You will work closely with a collaborative team to raise awareness of disability sports and drive the organisation's communications agenda.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Brand & Engagement:
• Develop and execute SDSC's branding and engagement strategies to increase awareness and support for disability sports, including the organisation of public and corporate outreach activities.
• Drive athlete engagement and interviews to promote brand ambassadorship and showcase their achievements and stories.
Content & Digital Media:
• Create compelling content for social media, website, press releases, annual reports, and newsletters, collaborating with internal teams to ensure consistency and quality.
• Manage brand assets, photography, videography coordination, and design outputs in support of campaigns and events.
• Maintain and update the SDSC website; manage social media channels with original, engaging content.
Stakeholder & Media Relations:
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets, sponsors, and partners to maximise exposure and collaboration opportunities.
• Support media relations efforts including drafting press releases, coordinating interviews, and distributing media materials.
Fundraising Support:
• Identify and pursue fundraising opportunities, working closely with stakeholders to develop persuasive campaigns and initiatives.
• Provide diligent follow-up and produce impact reports for donors and sponsors.
Evaluation & Crisis Support:
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communications and fundraising initiatives; make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
• Support crisis communications efforts, ensuring timely and appropriate responses to any communications challenges.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree or proven experience in Communications, Marketing, Mass Communication, Business, or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences.
• Driven and “can-do” attitude with a pleasant personality
• Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and deliver projects within tight deadlines
• Interacts well with diverse stakeholders, including athletes, colleagues, media outlets, corporates, and partners.
