Job Summary

Our client seeks an Estimator to deliver precise cost estimates and detailed cost build-ups for shipyard, marine, or EPC projects, contributing to competitive bidding and project execution excellence.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for blasting/painting, steel works, mechanical works, and general rig repairs to support project budgeting and bidding processes
• Perform quantity take-offs from structural and piping drawings and conduct site walkdowns to ensure precise material and resource planning
• Generate detailed material take-offs to facilitate procurement and cost control activities
• Develop basic pricing sheets and tender appendices to support comprehensive bid submissions
• Collaborate in preparing bid clarifications and documentation to address client queries and enhance bid competitiveness
• Interpret technical drawings to extract relevant data for cost estimation and project planning
• Conduct detailed cost build-ups covering manpower, material, equipment, subcontractors, consumables, logistics, craneage, scaffolding, blasting/painting, steel renewal, and mechanical/electrical scopes to ensure thorough project cost analysis

Required competencies and certifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of rig or marine industry to apply relevant standards and practices in estimation
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel to analyze data and prepare detailed cost reports with high accuracy

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in shipyard, marine, or EPC sectors to effectively manage estimation tasks and project requirements

• Job location: Tuas
• Work week: 5.5 days
• Salary: Up to $8.5k per month (open for negotiations)
