Job Summary

The Engineering Manager leads and oversees all engineering, technical, and design coordination activities at the project site. This role ensures that engineering deliverables are executed in alignment with project schedule, budget, quality, safety, and statutory requirements. Acting as the primary technical interface between client, consultants, and site teams, the Engineering Manager manages multidisciplinary coordination across Civil, Structural, Architectural, and MEP works while proactively mitigating technical risks.

Key Responsibilities

• The Engineering Manager is responsible for managing all engineering and design-related functions, including reviewing drawings, specifications, and method statements to ensure compliance and constructability. The role oversees RFIs, technical clarifications, design changes, and ensures timely approval of shop drawings and materials.

• The position leads cross-disciplinary coordination, conducting regular engineering meetings to align deliverables with construction sequencing and utilizing BIM tools to minimize clashes and rework. The Engineering Manager provides technical guidance to site teams, supports construction methodology planning, and assists procurement in technical evaluations of subcontractors and vendors.

• In addition, the role ensures compliance with contractual specifications and statutory regulations, oversees inspections and quality assurance processes, and supports preparation of as-built documentation and project handover packages. Technical risks are identified and managed proactively to mitigate impacts on cost and schedule, with proper change management procedures maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

• The Engineering Manager also plays a key leadership role by mentoring engineering staff, allocating responsibilities effectively, promoting high standards of safety and quality, and providing regular technical updates to senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Structural, or related engineering discipline.

• Minimum 12–15 years of relevant construction experience.

• At least 5 years in a senior engineering or managerial role.

• Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams on large-scale construction projects
