Job Summary

Lead the setup, configuration, and management of automation platforms and DevOps solutions to improve productivity and service delivery in IT Managed Services. Guide teams to develop, deploy, and operationalize automation playbooks using modern scripting and infrastructure-as-code technologies.

Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, and manage non-production and production automation platforms to ensure operational stability and scalability
• Lead development and coordination with Ops Leads to collect automation requests and guide DevOps and Automation Engineers in creating automation playbooks following coding standards
• Migrate and deploy automation playbooks to operationalize use cases that enhance productivity and service delivery
• Design and implement DevOps and automation solutions aligned with project requirements and IT Managed Services operations
• Build and maintain automation playbooks using technologies such as Ansible, Python, PowerShell, Chef (Ruby), Terraform (HCL), Groovy, JavaScript, and other scripting languages
• Operationalize automation development to increase efficiency and reduce manual tasks
• Develop and execute automated testing scripts and procedures in testing and production environments to ensure quality and reliability
• Manage code control and versioning for Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) playbooks to maintain consistency and traceability
• Oversee the setup and deployment of DevOps platforms and automation use cases, maintaining platform operational SLAs
• Lead DevOps engineers in developing automation use cases using platforms like Ansible, Chef, and Terraform
• Integrate automation solutions with tools such as ITSM to streamline service management processes
• Provide presales solution support by contributing automation expertise to develop client proposals and solutions

Required competencies and certifications

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Hands-on experience developing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using scripting languages such as Ansible, Python, Chef (Ruby), Terraform (HCL), Groovy, PowerShell, or Bash
• Minimum 6 years of experience in IaC code development for automation related to service delivery and operations
• Proven hands-on experience in setup, configuration, and management of Ansible, Terraform, and Chef platforms
• Experience in code versioning, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and automated testing processes
• Experience in DevOps platform setup, configuration, and CI/CD pipeline development and deployment

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Hands-on experience with cloud DevOps environments
• Strong background in Linux, Unix, and Windows administration
• Experience with automation, configuration, and compliance management using Puppet, Chef, or Ansible
• Proficiency with open-source technologies and scripting languages including Python, Ansible, JavaScript, Perl, and Groovy
• Strong experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MS SQL, and MySQL
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes
• Knowledge of developing automation playbooks using Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools
