Electrical Engineer

Job Scope & Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to support the design, execution, and maintenance of electrical systems across our projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring all electrical works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design & Engineering

• Prepare and review electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications using tools such as AutoCAD

• Perform load calculations and ensure proper system sizing and design accuracy

• Interpret and verify technical drawings and project requirements

2. Project Execution & Site Coordination

• Supervise and coordinate on-site electrical installation works

• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules

• Liaise with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution

3. Testing & Commissioning

• Conduct testing and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment

• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues

• Ensure systems are fully operational and meet project requirements prior to handover

4. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems

• Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime

• Support continuous improvement of system reliability and performance

5. Compliance, Safety & Quality

• Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards, including guidelines from the Energy Market Authority

• Adhere to workplace safety procedures and risk management practices

• Ensure all work meets quality standards and passes inspections

6. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare technical reports, method statements, and progress updates

• Maintain accurate records of installation, testing, and maintenance activities

• Update as-built drawings and project documentation

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

• Relevant 2-3 years experience in electrical works locally in Singapore (construction/site experience preferred)

• Proficient in AutoCAD and basic MS Office applications

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
