Responsibilities

• Review documents prepared by Draftsman/Designer and provide technical guidance
• Prepare Equipment Specification, review technical offers from vendors and conduct technical evaluation
• Prepare calculations for electrical system and system studies
• Prepare and review relay protection settings and coordination
• Prepare drawing list for project, monitor drawing schedule for submission of documents, submit drawing and documents to Project coordinator/Engineering manager
• Review vendor drawings to confirm alignment with project and internal specifications
• Attend internal project and engineering review meetings
• Coordinate with inter-discipline engineering team, site engineer and EM on technical related issues
• Support site and commissioning team on technical related issues
• Address and ensure compliance with Owner/OE comments and specifications
• Attend technical clarification meetings with Owners/OE and prepare meeting minutes with follow-up actions.
• Support construction and commissioning teams in resolving technical matters on site
• Conduct site visits to provide technical support and attend site meetings as needed
• Attend FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests) for electrical equipment from HV to LV systems
• Perform tender preparation work when required
• Any other duties from time to time

Pre-requisites

• Degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputable university
• Minimum 5 years of electrical design experience in EPC projects for power plants (Combined Cycle, Cogeneration, Thermal, Biomass, RDF), focusing on electrical systems.
• Good knowledge of codes and standards related to electrical design
• Experience with electrical software for system studies, as well as proficiency in MS Office tools
• Cost-conscious approach with attention to specification accuracy and material optimization
• Good knowledge of 3Dmodel for cable raceway, equipment, and interface checking
• Ability to work independently as well as lead a team depending on project requirements
• Strong communication and coordination skills for interdisciplinary and external stakeholder engagement
